NANDOS

This was worn as a sandwich board by a Lenny Kravitz impersonator outside the concert, where Nando’s chicken was being sold. It is typical of the reactive wittiness of the brand.

This ad ran immediately after the bitter defeat of SA vs Australia in the semi-final of the 1999 World Cup. Charles Fortune – the much loved  commentator with classic 50’s style vocabulary – had recently passed away and his presence was greatly missed. The ad served as an appropriate bandaid for defeat. Again, Nando’s was witty, reactive and totally in touch.
